How can I have Wrist to Forehead Sunday on Easter? Of course I cannot. In addition to this being the high holy day for many churches, it is a beautiful spring day. The sun is shining, the birds were singing earlier, the temperature is warm, and I am with my family.
If all that were not enough, I was able to get to my WordPress dashboard on my mom’s desktop computer. What more could a blogger like me desire? Hmm… maybe a topic for a blog post.
Yesterday, I went to Paca Gardens in Little Falls, NY with my sister Cheryl (wow, I mention her two posts in a row, can she stand the excitement?), her daughter Dana, son-in-law Dan, and Dana and Dan’s utterly delightful little boy, Shepherd. Oh, the lovely clothes! So soft! I must return for some Alpaca running socks. When I start really running again.
After that we went to Hannaford and bought ingredients for dinner. I made baked macaroni and cheese, steamed asparagus, fried kielbasa and tossed salad. How I love to have dinner with family. It was also most pleasant to go to bed knowing the next day would be Easter AND a day off for my wonderful husband, Steven.
I look at my title and feel I should say something profound about our Savior. I’m afraid I don’t have anything. For someone who talks entirely too much, I am largely silent on the subject of religion. I like to sit in silent contemplation. Right now, however, I am at my parents’ house with a sister and two nieces present. They might like to go for a walk on this beautiful day. Happy Easter, everyone.
Silence is sometimes golden. Blessings, Robin
Indeed. Blessings to you, too.
