I pause in my Saturday gyrations for a blog post about a local business. My friend Kim and I went for a late lunch to Salvatore’s in Herkimer. Yum!
We both were bold enough to order wine: Chardonnay for me, Moscato for Kim. I got the special, a chicken wrapini with peppers, bacon and boom-boom sauce. Kim got a steak and cheese wrapini. We both got pasta salad for our side.
My husband, Steven, did not join us, so I got a dessert to bring home to him. Chocolate cake to die for!
After I took a picture of the dessert case, I thought I would take a couple more for blog post purposes. I asked out waitress to pose.
Then I asked for a picture of the young man who is often around. He insisted on taking one with the waitress.
The waitress asked for a second shot.
I said next time I would take candid shots of the staff in action. They were OK with that idea.
Salvatore’s is located at 650 1/2 German St., Herkimer, phone number 315-866-2600. They are open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Looks like an awesome place! It is WAY too far for me to drive there. I’d have to plan a vacation around it or something. However, I’d love to go someday. Thanks for sharing!
Salvatore’s is one of my favorites. There are actually lots of great locally-owned restaurants, so if you ever find yourself in the Mohawk Valley, enjoy!
