I watched old horror movies yesterday in hopes of doing a Saturday Cinema post, whether I did it late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Well, both of those ships sailed, as the saying goes (you can defuse a cliche by adding, “as the saying goes,” you know), and here I am typing on my Chromebook late Sunday morning as It: The Terror from Beyond Space plays on the television. I started watching it last night, remembering that I had watched it sometime ago and written a blog post about it. In fact, on checking I found I got two posts, one right after the other.
The sad thing is I made the posts at a time before I learned how to add pictures to the blog, and I have yet to learn how to do it on the Chromebook. Perhaps I could make a try.

Right technique, wrong movie.
OK, this was the first movie I watched, Christine, based on the novel by Steven King.. I remember when it was in theatres, critics compared it unfavorably to the television show “My Mother the Car.” I remember watching it once with my late, dearly loved husband Steven, but I must have taken a nap or something, because I only remember the beginning. I must seek out the novel and read it.
I tried my technique on Christine, because that was the movie I really wanted to talk about, being the first one I watched on Saturday. Unexpectedly meeting with success, I looked for images of the It movie (not to be confused with the It Girl). Which was when I discovered that I do so have images from that movie in my Media Library. Only I cannot readily find them. I think WordPress may be hiding some of my images. Why would it do such a thing? I can only speculate. Maybe I should change my title to “The Format That Ate The Horror Movies.” It doesn’t sound very frightening, does it, although things that eat other things usually do.
And now I feel disinclined to search for images of the second movie, whose name escapes me, and I cannot readily lay hands on my TV Journal. And I am getting a headache, just to whine a little more (what a big fat baby I am). On the brighter side, I have a word count approaching 400, which is pretty good on a Wrist to Forehead Sunday (aren’t all my Sundays a little wrist to forehead?). As always, I thank you for tuning in.
