Who Me? Dread Monday?

Hello and welcome to another Wrist to Forehead Sunday, the day I swoon, dramatically posed with the back of one wrist to my forehead, although I do not possess a chaise lounge to swoon upon, alas.

I have not indulged to that extent.

Monday is OK, or at least it will be until it actually is Monday and I have to get out of bed.  That is always a bad moment.  However, one must carry on, and I don’t mean cry and carry on, although one does that on occasion.

Just one more blog post.

Of course I have been watching Columbo.  The sad part is that I saw a picture in my Media Library from one of the episodes I watched today, but, alas, I cannot find it ow.

One of my favorites!

I did, however, find a logo from Dateline, which I just now found on Roku.  I am not paying much attention to the episode that is currently running, except to see that that terrible wife totally did it.  Dateline is rarely much of a mystery.

Picture from last summer.

I was disappointed this morning to see that Brookwood Market’s opening day had been rescheduled to June 23, due to weather.  I had totally planned to take a walk over and check it out.  I want to purchase a shawl from Herkimer Handknits.  I am sure there are other vendors who will have things I will like to buy.  I will probably write a blog post about it (preview of coming attractions).

I see I am over 250 words.  Respectable for a Wrist to Forehead Sunday, at least by my rules for me.  Perhaps another picture just to round things out.

Not my outfit for today, but close enough.

Yes, I have been relaxing, in between bouts of dreading Monday.  Full disclosure:  I am not dreading Monday all that much.  Still, another three day weekend would be nice.

But for Some, Coffee IS Happiness

On the brighter side, I have not made an early morning blog post in a while, have I?  As usual, I am too lazy to go back and check.  Yesterday was a true blogger’s sick day, made hideous by a migraine.  I left work and sought my bed only to find sleep elusive and pain pervasive.  Eventually it went away, leaving me a limp, fairly brainless rag.  Perfect conditions for a Non-Sequitur Thursday post made on Friday morning.  Ooh, that’s right, it is Friday.  We like Friday.

Actually not yet, but I am on my way there, I hope.

In fact, I have not yet had my first cup of coffee, but I think the maker is done making its noises.  Ah, yes that first hot sip…

Random picture for you to enjoy while I sip.

That picture caught my eye because of the yellow flower, but now I see it also includes one of the fingerless gloves I purchased from Herkimer Handknits last summer at Brookwood Market. (what, “fingerless” and “Brookwood” are not words?  My Chromebook underlined them in red.  Also “Herkimer Handknits.  What’s that all about?).  The picture was taken at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort.  So now I have given small shout-outs to three local businesses.  Brookwood Market has not opened yet for the summer, but Fratello’s is, of course, year round, and you can find Herkimer Handknits on Facebook.

Where was I?  Nowhere in particular, I suppose, but did I not say this was a Non-Sequitur Thursday post? And I am over 250 words.  Score!  Back to my hot beverage, and I hope you found this at least mildly entertaining.

I comfort myself with the thought.

Even coffee cannot make everyone happy.  It can be a difficult world, but I feel it is worth the effort.

This Blog Post Is Nothing to Howl About

I have the dreaded Type It In Backspace It Out Disease (or should that be the type-it-in-backspace-it-out disease?  Discuss amongst yourselves) (and my computer seems to think “amongst” is not a word.  Go figure).  Where was I?  Ah yes, Lame Post Friday.  Once again it is actually Friday as I make my Lame Post Friday post.  If I can keep from backspacing it out and saying to hell with it.

Ah-ooooooh!

I personally have not howled on a Friday in a long time.  A quiet glass of wine is more my speed these days.  I am currently enjoying one, by the way.

Wine. It isn’t just for Fridays any more.

I looked in my Media Library for a picture of me enjoying a glass of wine and found this one.  It was from a Sunday last summer.  My friend Kim and I had gone to Brookwood Market in Herkimer, NY, where I purchased fingerless gloves from Herkimer Handknits and we both purchased bouquets from another vendor whose name escapes me. We adjourned to Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, where we put our bouquets in water and had some wine and food.  I will be happy when Broodwood Market opens again this year (preview of coming attractions).

A different drink.

I share this picture to remind myself to get to work polishing the script for our next murder mystery, Deadly Night Life,  to be presented at Salisbury Grange April 27 (another preview of coming attractions).  This is a shot from Shooting at the Grange, which we presented last April.

So I have rattled on for over 250 words.  Regular readers know I consider that respectable. Will I get to work on that murder mystery? Will I have more wine?  A little uncertainty adds interest to my evening.

What to Wear, What to Wear, What to Wear?

Yes, hello, I am making my late Saturday post on Sunday morning.  I woke feeling down but with less of a headache than I had yesterday, so I have that going for me.  I spent part of yesterday walking around Herkimer, trying to assuage my loneliness, with some success.  I will write a blog post about that later, I hope.  This is in the nature of a place holder, so I can continue to pretend I am a daily blogger.

A great place to go!

If I muster enough energy, I may go to the last session of Brookwood Market.  It is handy walking distance from my house, so I can get some needed exercise. Additionally, they are doing some Halloweeny stuff.  I can put on a costume.  I think I have a few laying around here somewhere.

I thought I looked good. But perhaps I flattered myself.

Here is me in a costume I threw together for the Ilion Days Doodah Parade in July 2019, just to show you what I can do off the top of my head.  My goal at the time was to keep cool in the heat, so I threw some light shawls over a camisole and bicycle shorts, topping it off with my beloved tiara (I only had one back then).

I put a spell on you!

Here is a costume I took a little more trouble with, even going to far as to make myself a wand out of a knitting needle, although it is not shown in the picture.  I was a Silly Wizard for a March of Dimes event.  The kids there were not impressed, but I had fun.

I guess for a place holder, this turned out to be a blog about me in costume.  We’ll see if I actually get into one today.  I will try to get a picture for the blog, but I am no had at selfies.
