Do I Have a Shot at a King’s Sunset?

How about a Waste Not Want Not Wednesday post?  I think I can find three pictures on my phone that I have not used in a blog post.  I will be happy to make a Wednesday blog post on Wednesday.  It is still Wednesday, isn’t it?

It was pretty tasty.

When I was at the Herkimer Elks Club recently, a member offered to buy anybody who wanted one a shot of Frangelico.  Since I have been killing off Frangelica Inferno recently, I gratefully accepted his generous offer.  Imagine my delight when the shot glass actually said, “Frangelico.”  (I do not know why my Chromebook is underlining “Frangelico,” that is how the liqueur is spelled; I looked it up.)

Which King? Which Court? At least I did not park there.

This is the back of a building on Main Street in Herkimer, NY.  I believe it is behind Mohawk Valley Market.  I do not know what Kings Court used to be.  Do any of my readers?  Please comment if so.

This was the best of three pictures I took.

Here is a picture I took while walking home from the Elks Club one evening.  The colors were much more dramatic in real life.  Perhaps if I had a real camera instead of a cheap-ass cell phone  I could get a better shot.  At least you can see the branches on the tree pretty good, so I shall content myself with that.

I hope to have a couple of Mohawk Valley Adventures as the week winds down, but no promises.  The weather has been not conductive to travel.  Still I might be able to walk someplace that manages to stay open.  We shall see.  As always, I hope you will stay tuned.

At Least It’s a Post

My trials and tribulations with the cable company continue. I am lounged on my couch typing in one letter at a time with the stylus on my phone, not my Tablet, because I am currently off line. It seems I need new equipment to connect with the internet now that I cancelled cable television.

My first inkling of this was when I received a package from the cable company yesterday. I said, “What the hell is this?” They patiently explained things to me on the phone (which apparently and luckily was still working) (I should perhaps mention I have a landline as well as a cell) and scheduled a semi-convenient time for a tech to come hook me up.

My internet had been working earlier in the day, but it stopped sometime after said phone call. Yes, yes, these are first world problems. I am grateful that I still have my cell and can at least make some semblance of a post.

I must say, it is a little awkward posting this way. I don’t have the tool bar I am used to and I don’t see a word count. YES, these are first world problems, you don’t have to keep telling me! (You know who you are.)

I am just going to count this as a Tired Tuesday Post and drive on. Perhaps I can get to the library later and make my Wednesday post from a computer and on time. As always I hope you’ll stay tuned.

At Least I Voted

Once again, my blog is degenerating into late post after late post, whining about how tired I am.  But, hey, when I make a late post, I often do it on the laptop (dining room table top, as regular readers may recall), and I am reminded how much fun ten-fingered typing is.  I must purchase a new laptop.  That might be worth a blog post.

Be all that as it may, I was indeed too tired to make a post yesterday, and I was too tired to go for a walk this morning.  If  I was being less kind to myself, I could substitute lazy for tired, so you may may what judgements you like.  I got home from work tired but had things I needed to do.  Of course I did not do all of them, but I showered (an absolute necessity, given my job and the summer weather) and did a load of laundry (also a necessity if I did not want to wear dirty pants to work) (they are just going to get dirty again, but you’ll have that). Then my husband, Steve, and I headed to Basloe Library in Herkimer, NY to vote.

I am not really adept with my cell phone.

After we voted, I took an ussie, specifically for blogging purposes.  I was truly sorry to leave the library without pausing to look for a book or two, but we were hungry.  Accordingly, we went to Salvatore’s Pizzeria and Restaurant.  Steven got a bacon cheeseburger while I, tempted by the special, got a calzone with three toppings.  I picked meatballs, mushrooms, and black olives.  The reason I went for the meatballs was that I knew we would have a large amount leftover and Steven likes meat on pizza and such-like (isn’t a calzone just a folded-up pizza?).

Back home, all I wanted to do was sit on the couch and watch an episode of Dateline (love that Keith Morrison).  At least I crocheted while I watched, so it was not completely unproductive.  I really must up my crochet game and make more things than afghans, but that is for another day.

In the meantime, I see I am over 300 words.  I call that more than respectable for a late Tired Tuesday post.  Later on, I will strive not to Wuss Out on Wednesday, but as usual, no promises.  And just as an aside, why did I not dub it Wimp-out Wednesday?  Any thoughts?

(Ooh, 400 words! Score!)
