Wayback Walk after Wuss-Out?

So yesterday was a true Wuss-out Wednesday as I neglected to post at all. In my defense, shut up, explanations are tiresome. I am sitting at the dining-room-tabletop prior to five Thursday morning, and my main feeling is gratitude for coffee. I went for a half-hour walk so am torn between making a Pedestrian Post and a Way-back Wednesday Post. Since I would like to retain the option of making a Throwback Thursday Post later, I shall attempt the former.

I do love flowers.

Full disclosure: I still have not upgraded my WordPress account so cannot add new pictures. Here is one from a walk I took in July 2017, making this a Way-Back Wednesday as well as a Pedestrian Post. This is the extent of my ability to multi-task (unless cleaning my oven while I sleep is still a thing) (older readers get that). Fuller disclosure: I did not see this on this morning’s walk, although I did walk by this building. For one reason, it was still dark. However, if I had troubled to look, I could probably report on whether the purple flowers are there once again. I did not. Judge me if you are so inclined.

Teehee!

Here is a funny from a walk in July 2018. It was actually a cool-down walk after a run, just to make me feel a little sad to remember I have not been running since May. I found it on the sidewalk and took it home, taking this picture, because it amused me so much. I told my husband Steve it was probably for him, and his girlfriend had left it there for me to deliver.

I see I have not yet said anything about today’s walk. Oh well, it wasn’t such a much anyways, and I am almost at 300 words (that sentence put it over). I feel oddly pleased with this post, but perhaps I flatter myself. No matter. It’s time to get myself a little more coffee.

PS. Now it is 5 a.m.

More Mid-week Music

At work yesterday a co-worker told me that Matt Grainger was playing at Fratello’s. I guess my Wednesday night thing has become pretty well known, at least in my immediate circle. Yes, my husband, Steve, and I went out and enjoyed food and music. We had a great time.

He’s awesome!

This picture is from a previous performance (no, I have not yet upgraded my WordPress site to allow new images; I really should get on that). We rocked out to the tunes, mostly chair dancing. However, at one point I was dancing my way back from the ladies’ room, and a woman got up and danced with me till the end of the song..

While we listened, we enjoyed good food. Steve got the shrimp basket he had been hungry for since I came home and mentioned Fratello’s. I decided on antipasto salad. I have leftovers for my lunch today. Yum! We also indulged in a glass of wine.

Fratello’s is located at 158 E. Main St., Frankfort, NY, phone number 315-894-8484. They are open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to p.m. Sunday. You can follow them on Facebook to keep updated on their food and music.

Could Be Why I’m Tired

So I missed posting again yesterday. In my defense, I had a lot to do. When I was battling the ice on my windshield (how was there suck a big chuck? what the hell, nature?), I broke a windshield wiper. Crap! At first I thought I could snap it back on, but it is still dark when I leave for work, and I couldn’t see what I was doing. All I managed was to break a piece off. Typical me! I could not get the piece back on either the wiper or the arm. Grrr!

I went into the house for some light, and Steven went to put on pants and shoes to come help me. With great if misplaced effort, I wrestled the piece back onto the wiper blade. Now I was in business! Unfortunately, when I got back outside, I still could not get the wiper back on the arm. Fortunately, it was the passenger side.

By this time, Steven had made it outside. However, I had determined the cause hopeless and said I would drive to work with one wiper.

“It isn’t precipitating,” I pointed out. “I’ll get a new wiper on the way home.”

Steven was helpful, however, because he moved the trash and recycling containers, which were at the end of the driveway, because of snowbanks from Monday’s storm. He also undertook to move them back after I was gone. This was nice, because otherwise I would have had to leave my car in the street and move them back myself, unless I forgot all about them and backed into them (would I do a thing like that? Um, yes, I would and have).

I did encounter some precipitation on the way to work, but my driver side wiper sufficed. After work I stopped at AutoZone in Herkimer, NY (where I live). I don’t usually plug chain stores, but the young man that helped me was so nice! He recommended the all-weather blade that he uses (not the most expensive one), put it on my car for me, and used his bare hands to clean out some of the ice that was collecting under the edge of the hood. Sweet!

In addition to these adventures (which I see have taken me over 300 words to describe, Score!), I also had rehearsal. Before rehearsal I had to stop and purchase yarn for crochet and knitting purposes. You see, my part in the play is small; I must keep myself occupied or I will get in trouble (me, get in trouble? Say it ain’t so!). I guess I’ll just bill this as a Tired Tuesday post, hope my readers will overlook it being late, and drive on (Freudian typo: I put “dive on” instead of “drive on.” Guess I’ll dive into Wednesday!).
