Another Nice Evening, Another Late Post

Here I am on Thursday morning pecking in Wednesday’s post (one letter at a time with the stylus; I really need to get a new laptop). What can I say? I’m still tired.

He’s cool.

Last night we enjoyed some great music with Mark Nanni at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, NY. We also enjoyed yummy food and saw our favorite bartender, Toni.

Nanni plays keyboard, guitar and accordian. Another patron was especially delighted with the accordian. He said his grandfather used to play it every night, but he had not heard it in 16 years.

I like the accordian, too!

It was a lovely evening, but I felt too tired to write about it last night. I read a book instead. It was the Ron Chernow biography of Alexander Hamilton. Good book, too.

More Phil, Please!

Last night my husband, Steven, and I did our favorite Wednesday thing of going to Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, NY for food and music. We grooved to the tunes of one of our favorites, Phil Arcuri.

He is so fun to watch.

I snapped a picture with my phone and posted it on Facebook with the remark that anybody not at Fratello’s was missing out on some great music. They were missing some great food, too. We got pizza and wings. Yum!

Our favorite bartender, Toni, was sporting a new hair color. I asked to take a picture for the blog.

She’s so pretty!

We sang along when we knew the words and chair danced when we weren’t eating. I tried to get a couple of pictures, but I don’t think any turned out very good.

As usual, we had a great time. It looked as if everybody else did, too!

No Beer, But Music!

Yesterday was Steven’s and my 31st anniversary. We celebrated by doing our favorite Wednesday night thing of going to Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort for food and music. We ate salad and garlic bread (with mozzarella!) and grooved to music by Max Scialdone.

He’s cool!

Full disclosure: one reason I wanted to go out was so I would have leftover salad to bring for my lunch for the next two days. Yum!

I sang along with some of the songs.

Steven noticed something called Boot Challenge for $10.99 on the list of drafts available. I asked our favorite bartender, Toni, about it. She showed us a large clear plastic boot-shaped vessel. It would be filled with one of two beers (I forget which). If you could drink it in seven minutes, you got a drink chip good for another draft. I declined to take the challenge, but it led to a fun discussion about questionable methods of beer consumption.

One more shot of the man.

It was a nice evening with some truly enjoyable music. Fratello’s gets the best musicians!

Fratello’s Pizzeria is located at 158 E. Main St., Frankfort, NY, phone number 315-894-8484. They are open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

More Mid-Week Music

Last night my husband, Steven, and I indulged in our favorite Wednesday thing of enjoying music and food at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort. We ate wrap sandwiches and grooved to tunes by Phil Arcuri.

He’s great!

It is so fun to watch Phil, because he clearly loves what he’s doing. We sang along when we knew the words, as did others sitting at the bar.

When I was taking pictures, Phil said we needed to take one together. Our favorite bartender, Toni, offered to snap the shot.

Later on Phil was joined by a special guest artist.

We had a wonderful time.

Accordion, Too!

I never wrote much about Mark Nanni, the musician we enjoyed at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort recently.

We loved him!

He played keyboard, guitar and accordion. Another patron was enjoying the music a lot, too.

“I’m going to call you Billy Bad-ass!” he said.

Mark graciously accepted the compliment, remarking that you can’t give yourself a name like that; it has to be bestowed upon you.

You don’t see a lot of accordions these days.

The accordion made me think of Fritz’s Polka Band, another local favorite. I see that my list of local favorites grows. I say, bring it! I love music.

Music on my Mind

I guess I had a real Wordless Wednesday as I went to bed without posting at all. I don’t have time for a real post right now (I have to work for a living), so how about a few pictures of local musicians instead?

Yay, music!

Last night Steven and I enjoyed music by Matt Grainger at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, NY.

Another favorite!

Here is another shot of Phil Arcuri at Iron Rock Brewing Company in Little Falls.

He was awesome too!

This is Mark Nanni, whose music we enjoyed last Wednesday at Fratello’s.

We have been enjoying a lot of good music lately. I hope soon to enjoy making more blog posts. As always, thank you for tuning in.

More Max, Less Post

Fine daily blogger I am these days! I make a short post, then I miss a day! Right now it is Friday morning, and I don’t have a whole lot of time (for one reason, I also neglected to pack my lunch yesterday). I thought I might just share the other pictures I took of Max Scialdone at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort and call it a post.

Note the hockey team pennants.

He opened with “Vaya Con Dios.”

I liked the light show, too.

Steven especially enjoyed “Burning Ring of Fire.” He told me it was written by June Carter Cash.

The view from our seats at the bar.

I sang along with “Sister Golden Hair.”

I do love to eat good food and listen to good music!

Good Evening, Not Much Post

Steven and I just got back from Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, NY, where we enjoyed music from Max Scialdone.

He is fine, yes.

My problem is one I often experience: now that I have had a Mohawk Valley Adventure, I am too tired to write about it. I shall share another picture and post this as a Preview of Coming Attractions. Or perhaps a Wuss-out Wednesday. You decide.

I love his musical stylings.

I feel certain, my readers will forgive me. Or do I mistake the matter?

Another Late, Brief Musical Post

How fast can I do this?

I’m tired of missing posts! So here is the Wuss-out Wednesday Post I should have done at least four hours ago (yes I get up in the middle of the night; overtime, ugh). Only I do not have a lot of time, so I will merely share a couple photos that might have gone into a posts I meant to make.

Phil Arcuri, having a great time as usual.

A week ago yesterday, we were at Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, enjoying the musical stylings of Phil Arcuri.

Great service!

We were happy to see our favorite bartender, Toni.

I don’t have time to make a proper post, but for now, this will have to do. As always, thank you for tuning in.

Good Wednesday, Bad Post

Today, Igor.

One might feel Wednesday is onerous, because it is only half-way through the week. Or one can go to Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort, listen to a talented local musician, and feel better about the whole thing.

Awesome guy to listen to.

Tonight my husband Steven and I went to Fratello’s Pizzeria in Frankfort and enjoyed food and music. I hope to write a longer post about it later. For right now, I feel tired. I hope this can count for my Wuss-out Wednesday Post.
